Jah Shanti also known as Kwame Asante Ababio, born in Santasi, a suburb in Kumasi, Ghana. He discovered his passion for music at a very early age. He started by singing and playing instruments at church. He also had a strong love for reggae music. He has mentioned names like Samini, Capleton, Sizzla, Bob Marley among others as people he looks up to. In his High School days in Opoku Ware, he usually sang reggae songs in his class when there was no teacher around.

His mates listened to him attentively. He had not yet considered recording his own songs. However, when he relocated to the U.S.A, he made a friend called Blackid, who then introduced him to music recording. His debut recording was a feature he did on Reezon’s song, called Badmind. From then onwards, he has released hit singles such as Say a Prayer, Nuh Fraid, Crazy World, Sweet Suh which was produced by Mobeatz (Producer of Skolom by VVIP), Innocent Girl Gone Bad (IGGB), My Girl and Love Ya.

He also does covers, notably his cover of Justin Bieber’s Sorry and E-40’s choices. His current Project is a masterpiece Mixtape titled after his names “JAH SHANTI” The Mixtape.
